The move has been for the better. Room is slightly smaller but a better bathroom and I have a.........balcony!!!!! Sitting out here now enjoying the fresh air and listening to birds rather than the aircraft I was copping over the road.

Also the wifi here is 4 x faster. Was only 4-5mbps at the other room.

Work got a employee wellness consultant (shrink) to call today. I thought I was doing ok but a few probing questions and she had me unravelled. The last 2 years have really taken a toll and today it all came out. It wasn’t pretty.

I’m getting a call each day now.

Glad things are working out for you in your 4x3 room w/ balcony!

Happy days about the therapy call too... once again we're being shown that it's good to talk.

I was going to say '86 but then thought, "there's no chance anything but the outer pages are still visible".

Ooooh.. Japanese porn must look like the real thing to you then!

That may well turn out to be an excellently positive silver lining to all this in the long run.......

.... So long as you can hold back just enough to ensure she doesn't have you sectioned. ;)

That is part of the reason she has had to contact me. She has to declare me fit for work at the end of all this. So f**king over having to be declared for for f**king work!!! But I am mindful I currently still have a paying job so once again I’ll take it on the chin.

She did say that even if I was due to fly out today she would have no problem in clearing me, she thought I was actually managing things quite well.

I’m down to a best of 3.20 min to solve the cube now, no notes, just from algorithm recall.

Talked Byron down from a meltdown over the phone because his mum had been letting him on electronics unchecked. And then had to re-school her on the strategies we have for managing that problem.

The hotel I’m at has now become a quarantine area for international incoming travellers since the rules changed yesterday requiring them to isolate at port of entry for 14 days.

One of new isolatees wasn’t happy with the conditions and got agro with the many security we now have here and the cops got called in. Guess by now the hotel room is looking better than the cell he is probably in.

Time to sleep and do it all again!

I’ve been working on that in the background for sometime. Just seems to be something major getting in the way the last 2 years. If we survive this I’ll make it a bigger priority. It is my 50th next year ;)

Got the offical word a few minutes ago.

Here till 14 days from contact. So that’ll be Saturday. Then to the company quarantine village till the following Wednesday, then offshore for 2 weeks.

Then getting home depends on how the world looks by then.

Currently exempt port of entry isolation, and company is working on charter aircraft as domestic flights are practically none existent.

You may see a new thread “Kiwi’s gone rogue, cross country adventure”.

2 state lines that are all closed down and policed if I have to go via terra firma.

I rang reception about laundry as I’m down to my last set of jocks and the pj pants I’ve been living in got Chinese spilt on them last night.

“Mmmm not sure how we will mange that, there are laundry rooms but you can’t get to them”

They got back to me. I’m getting delivered a bucket, laundry powder and a clothes horse. No one wants to touch the leppers clothing (lol)

Well it will give me something new to do at least!!! (happy)
