Lovely ride home. Dry roads and it was still not quite dark when I got home.

Did have the bike in dynamic though and managed a massive wheel spin on some crap left behind from the rain. Keeps you awake.

Not much. Got all my gear on this morning, went out and took the cover off. Promptly swore at the flat rear. Put the cover back on, took my gear off and got in the car.

Guess what I'm doing this weekend (swear)

At least you found it at home. Best that than getting to work and finding it flat? Could you see the offending object in the tyre?

Didn't have time to look, there's a tyre place not too far from work so I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they can get a tyre in. If they can repair it even better as it's only about 50% worn.

Got the tyre plugged today, going to have to replace it soon as it's got loads of crap stuck in it.Image

Half fitted my heated grips, I need the bike out of the garage to take the fairing off to get at the electrical side of things which looks like it will happen tomorrow.

Had to go back through my other thread to work out. They've done about 4500, pretty much all commuting.

I've gone for PP Tuning rearsets. They look better quality than mine and I spoke with someone who has used a lot and he said these gave the best feeling as most are too flexible. He's a heffer by his own admission.

Vortex are America only and very expensive after import and shipping.

I'll get them fitted next week and see write a little initial feedback thing

We have to import most bike things here so I’m either paying for postage from UK/EU or US so I didn’t think about that!

I finished the heated grip installation, the rain held off until the fairings were off (gah)
Got it done and found that the Gtechniq C2 made it very easy to dry and very shiny. 8)

Gearbox and clutch reinstalled
New gasket and clutch cover installed
Wheels fitted with new rubber
All wheel spacers and axles cleaned... they were disgusting!

Does anyone have a spare set of good condition axles and/or spacers? Mine are all corroded or missing the coating so will have to buy new ones and get my mate to make some bits for me.

Yeah managed the same in the end, was going then it rained, held off for an extra 1/2 hr, went out as it stopped. Needed a good run out. Ended up at Thruxton in the Jackaroo cafe..... little light lunch after a chilled ride down.

Run back was a little quicker lol..... I am not bike fit, arms ache, legs ache, totally knackered. I might go for a little snooze lol

Ditto - did a couple of hours today. Just what the doctor ordered.

This is the first bike i've owned where it just fits like a glove and i dont need to get my head around it when i ride it after a few months off. I wont be selling this anytime soon - fantastic bike.

I'm also impressed with my new Held Gloves - first time i've worn them and dont seem to need any wearing in either - ace.
