The 790 looks cheap. That's the problem with KTM's IMO, only the big CC bikes look decent. The rest of the catalogue looks cheap and plastic.

Doesn’t seem to have harmed their sales any.
Just my personal opinion, but I wouldnt buy a KTM accessory exhaust if it turns off the indicators. I may still buy a KTM bike and keep the exhaust stock, but I wouldnt buy an official accessory exhaust was my point. Sorry if I wasnt very clear.

The Triumph optional accessory exhaust doesnt turn of indicators, so I may buy one of their accessory exhausts for aesthetic reasons, but I wouldn't if it turned the indicators off.

For example. As far as I know the Arrow road legal exhaust on your ST3 doesnt turn off the indicators and I would imagine you wouldnt have optioned it if it did, is my point.

Potential to harm accessory sales rather than bike sales was my point.

The aftermarket exhausts from Triumph are road legal.

The race exhaust from KTM is not.

You're not comparing like for like.

If it is true (we don't know if it is as I've not seen anything from KTM) the reason KTM may be talking about disabling the road lights is to get round a law (if such law exists) so they can sell the aftermarket not for road use accessory.

I wonder how the system knows its not a road system - it would have to be very clever unless you unplugged something.

I would suggest this would be easily bypassed and it's a ploy to sell the aftermarket exhausts.

I guess it's in the map. You get the system fitted by KTM and they put the race map in.

That rings a bell...!??

Wasn't it that certain aftermarket cans had burnt/melted a few turn-signals and shorted-out a few bikes??
