I took a 10 yr old girl to do exactly that yesterday. Proper sports trainers for the school year and then casual shoes for out and about. I had Jess’ best friend Jen in tow but she ended up making it harder!! “Oh those look really cute Jorja” ...... Paul whispers “Shut the f**k up Jen, have you seen the price tag?!”Blade wrote:Taking a 9 year old boy trainer shopping
Don't do it, never ever do it
I spent solid money on her sports trainers as she was having issues with sore ankles last year and she does a lot of running through the year (and does quite well at it), got the foot analysis done and some inserts as well.
And then they wore me down and she got converses for kick around shoes.

Got a new coat for Christmas.
Hung it up in the locker room at work.
4 hours later and it's gone.
I want to think that it's an honest mistake, that someone's mistaken it for their own or picked it up along with their own coat. Better that than the alternative that I'm sharing a building with a f****ng thief.

That’s the biggest crime in the defence force as far as l’m concerned. If you can’t trust your peers then what sort of unity do you have.Itchy wrote:Got a new coat for Christmas.

Shit heads.
I had a jacket stolen from work. I'm still convinced one of the cleaners took it. Nice light Prada jacket I left in case I needed to go out at lunchtime.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Very unsettling when that happens Itchy, undermines your confidence in all your colleagues because you can't be sure who or why,,
Hope it turns up as result of an honest mistake

Hopefully it turns up Itchy and it's nothing more than a innocent mistake

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
You're all right. It is unsettling to think that it's someone I work with and trust. Although I can't rule out students either, we had 2 brit courses and 1 Saudi course fairly close by, also had contractors in the building that day.
Seems weird that they'd nick mine which wasn't anything massively expensive when 5 coat pegs away was a North face jacket with the keys to a BMW in.
Anyhoo, I'm still pissed but slightly less so than yesterday. Went down to the Police section to give a statement.
Need to go and get new front door and garage keys now.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
The coat turned up this morning.
Nobody's said anything to me, but it's back with the house keys in the pocket, exactly where I left it on Friday.
So the options are...
A - someone has taken it unintentionally and returned it when they realised their mistake. (most likely)
B - someone has taken it to cover up their uniform for their weekend trip home (less likely and a bit shit really)
C - someone's having my pants down trying to make me think I'm going crazy. (not unheard of)
Either way though, I've got my coat and keys back, so I don't really care anymore.
It is securely locked inside my locker now though!
