Can’t help, I’m voting SNP. Can’t think of any positives for Johnson our Corbyn. Only one for Labour would be a tactical vote to keep tories out, but it’s not a great prospect with him at the helm.

I would be voting liberal but there's a shift towards labour in my neck of the woods. I dont think there's enough of a swing to oust Javid but I'm happy to vote tactically on this occasion on the off chance it works.

I'm not being flippant but I really cannot think of a single reason to vote conservative. So I'm keeping an eye on this thread.

I'm happy to vote Labour because I think they are more likely to invest in the future of this country by making sure that things like schools and the NHS are looked after.

You've got a decent chance of the SNP getting into power by way of a coalition. My opinion is that what SNP and Labour want are actually very similar and they would work well together.

This pretty much echos my thoughts at the moment. I think we are basically voting for the lesser of the streaming piles of shit.

Very simple answer for me, and that's Hope.

Hope for a much better society that values people more than money. I want those less fortunate than me to live better lives and I want my kids to grow up and have some of the nice things and great experiences I've had.

As it stands at the moment if things don't change seismically my kids won't be going to university and it's very unlikely they will ever own their own home.

Only Labour is offering change on the scale that is needed.

At least the SNP are decisive and up front with what they want, Labour are a broken party that are 20 years beyond a time when their left wing, socialist stance was valid.

My vote will be Green.

It will not make a scrap of difference in the scheme of things.

I don’t believe the NHS will survive too many more Tory election wins and that is another good reason not to want to grow old in Britain.

I am 100% certain tho that in ten years time, climate change and each Party’s stance on it will be the biggest item in the political agenda. I do fear for my son’s future on that more than anything else.

So is your vote more of a future vote than a vote to save the NHS from the Tories? That's about as much sense as I can make from this haha.

Likewise. My daughter is already planning to leave the UK, it's just a question of when.

My sitting Tory MP has a 23,000 majority from the last Election. He even increased his share then. And he his an awful excuse of a person.

If that somehow got over turned i reckon Monty would be PM.

My vote will change nothing. I think voting for a Party that gains simply from increasing their share of the vote, is the right way to go for me.

Fwiw another one with the a very similar perspective.
Except...:

My vote would have also been Green

Because this constituency is a Conservative stronghold ( David Davis) what ever I choose will be a wasted vote under the current system, but the only candidate in any position to threaten him is Labour's.

By my calculations the largest proportion of members on here who have expressed a view, feel that their preferred vote would be a wasted vote.?
What a sad indictment of how our democratic system is failing us. :S

The only wasted vote is the vote not cast, and it only takes one voice to start an avalanche.

With this "first past the post" system, and old Basher, Double D having a 30% majority, my vote can not make any difference to the outcome here.
So I will vote against him, obviously, but my vote will change nothing & therefore is inherently a waste of a vote imho.?

Then at what point does someone decide voting is worth it.....when the other side only has a 20% majority? 10%?? Neck & neck??
I just think that if you're going to vote, then you do it regardless of the odds.

If people feel and can prove their vote makes no difference, then the system is failing.

You should vote and you should vote for who you want to. It's how change happens.
