Almost two million people killed by the Khymer Rouge over a roughly 5 year period....'75-'79. I had no idea it was that many!

Man City score what they think is the winner in the 93rd minute.....but VAR calls it offside and Spurs go through. Fantastic game of football.

Footage on the news of a 6.1 earthquake in Taiwan today/last night.
The cynic in me says that people will happily go to their everlasting doom, as long as they can record it on their iPhones & post it on YouTube first.

And a health report from the UK on the risks to the human heart from eating bacon.

Climate Change-the facts.

Louisiana is losing land to the sea at a rate of one football pitch every 45 minutes.

I thought that Louisiana was a swamp anyway , the french drained part of it to build New Orleans , then after the Louisiana purchase a system of dykes and levies were built to enable more cotton farming etc . I believe the last big effort to reclaim land in that area was by the corp of Engineers (US Army) post WWII , the decline in maintenance , hurricanes and development of formerly rural areas will all be making a contribution to the sea reclaiming the land .

Much of Louisiana is either at sea level, slightly above it, or like New Orleans, slightly below sea level.
BELOW SEA LEVEL!!!!
The French engineers who built the place must've been out of their fcuking minds.

"Welcome to America.....pick anywhere you want to live!!!"
"Great....we'll pick the submerged part, thanks".
