I've messaged the seller anyway, need to find out if I'll need to replace the spring. And I'll try to talk down the price a bit

Got the seller to agree a price then I put the offer in officially, got a rejected offer and a message back from him saying he has the deposit from someone paying the asking price.

It's totally fair enough and probably a blessing in disguise but I'm a little narked.

Started them both up. Giving them a heat cycle every 4 or so weeks while I can’t ride and rotating the wheels.

Sat on the Ducati and thought, wonder if I could risk it. Then twinged my neck getting off and realised a ride would indeed be a sh*t idea.

Decided that as the sky was clear and the roads where mainly dry I needed to circulate the oil and rotate the fuel (giggle)

Got it for a couple of hours ago told, cuppa and a bacon sarni too.

Somebody needs to inform the m7rr's that it's winter and they really shouldn't grip as well as they do.

Scrubbed the chain, gave it a really good clean. It looks like new.

Got an old towel and soaked it with acf50 then went round the bike wiping the exposed metal work.

I can't wait to give it a good clean when spring comes round. I used a screwdriver to fish out the crud in front of the front sprocket cover. All the plastics need to come off so I can get into those hidden areas.

Had my first bird strike this morning.

About 5 minutes into my ride there's an almighty thud on the side of my helmet. No damage to the lid but there was a dead bird in the road.

You did well then - they hurt! Glad it didnt damage anything.

I had one a while back in the outside lane of motorway - hit the bike, shoulder and lid. Mrs C was behind and had blood and feathers all over her :D

Bird-strikes are like a hole-in-one.....some people play golf all their life & never get one....others get one their first time out.

Took the bike out for a 50 mile bimble to get some miles on the new tyres. I am impressed, I started to get a bit confident on the greasy roads and started powering out of corners that I know the Avon rear would have struggled with, not a hint of a slide on these Conti's.
I was putting faith in the lean sensitive TC too but it never needed to intervene.

As promised I took the big AT into work today. It sure does make a nice noise with the baffle out.

It does. Especially with the fog lights on.

Plus it's big enough to knock cars out of the way should they not see me coming.

Very thick fog this morning.

I left home and there was a light mist. The nearby fishing pools looked stunning with a touch of mist on them as the sun came up. I was half tempted to stop for a photo.

As soon as I got on the motorway it was thick banks of rolling fog. Horrible.
