New Middleweight RSV
Aprilia have just unveiled this concept, based on the V4 engine but a twin, 660cc, man I love a middleweight bike so that is mega! Please Aprilia build this but up it so it can race in the supersport class

Re: New Middleweight RSV
nice to see smaller capacity sportsbikes being teased, after so many years of the supersport category looking dead

Re: New Middleweight RSV
That doesn't really sound like a very good engine formula for a middle weight screamer.

Re: New Middleweight RSV
Im guessing they are thinking along the lines of minitwin type bikes like SV650 and ER6 so Im sort of hoping they up the capacity so it can compete with the screamersMonty wrote:That doesn't really sound like a very good engine formula for a middle weight screamer.

Relatively low bhp, high torque, strong brakes, excellent handling. It'll be all about the cornering.

Re: New Middleweight RSV
A 660 vtwin would get hammered in Supersport.
Would have preferred an 800 tbh with similar performance to an 848.
Really hope they do a Daytona 765RS. A triple cylinder supersport bike with a little more poke in a sharp chassis would sell like hot cakes imo.

Re: New Middleweight RSV
I would love to see more angles of it and would love to take it for a good ride to test it. I'm sure they wouldnt invest money into it if it was going to be awful!

I echo your thoughts of the 765RS Daytona... That could be a bike to make me actually want to hand over my ZX6R

Re: New Middleweight RSV
On the road that would be brill - would depend on power and electronics, but a fully loaded one of those might be nice...

They really need to build this. It's a thing of beauty. It looks small and light but it's got the big brother brake set up.
