On Saturday I packed the panniers and rode to Leeds to meet my friends before heading onward to Carlisle to pick up a couple more before the last leg to Portpatrick, not many stops or pictures because we just wanted to crunch the miles and get there, the weather was fantastic but I swear the temperature dropped 5° when we crossed the boarder, the hotel my friends had chosen was very nice, at £95 for a room it's a good job
After a nice meal a couple of us braved the wind for a walk around the harbour.
Yesterday was Portpatrick to Grasmere via Drumlanrig castle, Moffat and the filling station cafe, it was raining for most of the day so when I saw this on the wall at the Filling Station I had to get a pic.
There was a rally car meet at the castle and the weather cleared for a bit so I got a couple of snaps there.
Not many people seemed to care about the Porsche next to the MK1 escort
Today we rode home from Grasmere after a walk around the village, the weather was dry but 'refreshing' with the GT's dash reading 6°c by the time we set off, we stuck to the back roads to Kirkby Stephen, Hawes and stopped off at the monor cafe near Leyburn on the way back for a fishfinger sandwich, then down to Ripon and on to the A1, 640 miles in 3 days and the bike was flawless and used about the same fuel as my friends V-strom, at least 10mpg better than the Empty-10 while being faster, very comfortable and more powerful.
A weekend jaunt to Scotland.

Re: A weekend jaunt to Scotland.
Thank's, I need to work on a better write up next time, not while half asleep should help and I might even invest in a decent compact camera. All of my pictures are from my LG G6.
It was a fantastic weekend despite a lack of sleep (room mate snored like nothing I have ever heard before) and a technical issue, I updated the Garmin and it freaked out not knowing where it was or how to find a route... Fixed now with another update.
Hang about.... I'm not Kwacky
