Brilliant news. Well done. Keep practicing everyday is a school day that's how I view it! R3 would be cracking bike, not too heavy but plenty of poke and looks good!

Thanks ever so much guys!

The R3 is due to arrive on Monday evening, so that should be a hoot. Unfortunately, I'm teaching that evening so I might have to wait a day or so to take it out for a spin.... if I'm being sensible....

I saw this elsewhere but thought it was relevant to this thread...

"Riding a motorcycle doesn't call to everyone.
It carries a level of risk that is anathema to most. And it demands a level of competence, a degree of engagement, that is unusual in today's society.
Like an old craft, the skills and the wisdom necessary to be successful at it don't come quickly, but emerge only slowly, over time.
Most people today simply don't have the patience or the inclination to deal with that sort of thing.
But for those of us who do, to that tiny minority who are drawn to it, the rewards are immeasureable.
For us, riding imbues life itself with color, tinges it with adventure.
It connects us to a time when people weren't perhaps quite so shy about how they lived.
A time when everything wasn't a careful, exacting calculus of risk and reward.A bolder time when a fear of getting hurt didn't stand as an impenetrable shield to the simple enjoyment of life.
So yes, those of us who ride are definitely different. But it's a good difference.
We carry something that once was common but now is rare.
Something of the distilled essence of what got us all here.
We're the last wolves, in a land of sheep."
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

We are pretty easy going bunch but there are two rules

1. Always brake for cake
2. You must ride your bike on new bike day

(lol)

Enjoy the new beast mate (y)

Im gunna go out a limb here and guess thats why I never got on with my second zx6r, I broke rule number 2, the day it was delivered it hammered it down so it didnt get ridden, maybe thast why we didnt fall in love and she was gone 6 months later (it had nothing to do with the fact that Im a fat git that felt like I was straddling a minimoto if I was on it longer than half hour honest)
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Clearly it's not worth the risk! Currently sitting here waiting for it to arrive. I'm teaching a lesson at 7pm, though ;(

Come on, bike!
