I've noticed whenever you mention on one of these forums that you're trying or have tried another bike you get met with loads of replies from people who have never owned them, telling you they're carp, to stay away, I know a mate who....., I've seen a YouTube video of.....

When I was on the z1000sx forum and said I was getting a Versys I got loads of abuse. Telling me I'll regret it, it's a step backwards, they're ugly, they're cheap, they fall apart, I'll miss the power, it'll be a big regret etc.

Now on the Versys forum I've mentioned I'm taking an Africa Twin out and I'm getting horror stories of them spilling oil and needing a new engine after being dropped, how owners don't keep them for long as they're crap, they're too heavy (this from Versys owners!), not enough power(again, Versys owners!) etc.

Why are so many people running around with closed minds?
There are plenty of them that wont listen to advice or opinion and frankly don't know much but like to pretend they do.

Honda's are rubbish though - never start, poorly made and the Japanese are not known for build quality are they? :D

GDPR

The firm I work for has gone into complete melt-down over it.

They're now saying that us fee-earners now need to do our own post - so that's physically putting our letters and documents etc into the bags, boxes, envelopes and jiffy bags ourselves.

Even though we've got a post room.

Yeah, that's gone down really well.

Software and service companies who hide behind a terms and conditions notice from ten years ago and tell you that since you accepted it then, it’s automatically accepted again every time you pay your annual renewal and you must give at least 90 days notice that you are not going to renew. Talk about restrictive practices. Load of utter bollicks.

Get home. Get an email. 8 weeks.

So I'll be asking for my money back if they can't sort it out.

It won't matter, a woman could be gasping her last, but they’ll still tell us it’s nothing compared to childbirth.

School f**kng projects.

Feels like it’s my assignment. I just can’t seem to get my young fella motivated.

They had to pick a third world country and research it, then play travel agent and plan a tour in the country, make up a advertising campaign and do a presentation talk.

He picked Niger. Because his immature ASD mind thought it was funny that it was almost nigger and he knows that’s a bad word.

I’ve spent the weekend and today redoing parts his mum helped him with while he was with her. It was all so hopelessly off the brief I don’t think she even read the project task sheet.

He’s suppose to present it tomorrow evening. I’m going to have a busy day tomorrow.

OK but what I need to know is should I visit Niger and what is there for me to see and do? Resturants, Bars, Nightlife, Tourist hotspots?

Niger is pretty much the worst country in the World.
It's even worse than Sunderland by all accounts, a feat that is seldom achieved.

This sort of bullshit. It s no wonder kids of today lack any direction when they watch such other brain dead shite.

I bet they are divorced within a year.............after they have sold their story about how they can't understand where it all went wrong of course.

Be at the school at 6,30 pm tonight for the presentation and you’ll find out.

D41 is right. It’s a sh*t hole. The gov travel advisory site for Australia basically says to stay the feck away from there.

My ears. In particular my left one. I seem to get a build up of hard wax maybe twice a year and it causes my ears to hurt and then makes eating more difficult. I never had this problem before but the last 4 or 5 years it's twice a year without fail...yes I could pop oil in every night but its a faff and I CBA to do it so i always wait until I get the issues then deal with it.

Last time I went to docs that stopped syringing your eyes and now have to go to hospital to get a 5 min thing sorted...FFS I know oil doesn't get the wax out of my ears merely softens it, I'll prob go into hospital with blocked ears and come out with a life threatening illness.

What an utter waste of their time, it's not like hospia deal with people on their final breaths of air, or people being rushed in due to incidents outside (car accidents or stabbings etc), of course not what the hell do doctor surgery do anymore, sit behind a computer all day that I gather.

I get a lot of ear wax - more so as ive got older.

I've taken to getting it out myself with a small hair grip (end acts as a scoop but doesnt push it further in) - as long as your careful it's comes out easily. A bit of boiling water on it to clean it first. I dont get on with oil or anything wet in my ears, makes it worse imo. The drier it is the easier it is to scoop out.

I personally couldn't do it!! I hate anything in my ears but a quick syringe in the hands of a professional then I'll allow it lol!!

Some warm medicinal olive oil for a couple of days and then use one of the ear syringe bulbs to wash it out with warm water and the plug will come out.
Have to do it myself a couple of times a year. using ear plugs when riding just acerbates the problem.
