I love the look of the 790. Blinged up like that its looks awesome.

Imagine a bike 160kg race wet weight.

It was only 5 seconds slower than the 1290R Superduke and the Multi 1260 which were second and first place respectively.

.......Yes, but who was riding it??

What I'm getting at, is the PPHC is like a rich man's country club event. The same crowd tend to "own" the mountain, year in - year out.....no matter what they're riding. And they're a bit of an elitist bunch of twats, come to think of it.

My only reservation with the 790 was the build quality. At the show it wasnt a patch on my RC8. For the money the Street Triple is far better 'value'.

If you want light - try a 690 Duke or SMR. Similar power, better quality and a fantastic revvy single engine. If i didnt need a 'do it all' bike i'd have likely had one for giggles.

If I was looking for a true enduro bike to really get off-road and cover big miles I’d be more keen on something like that KTM than a multi enduro. I love my Multi to bits, but it’s a freaking tank. I’ve done years and years of off-road riding and nothing wears you out more than struggling with a heavy bike. There is nothing that KTM couldn’t do off-road that the Multi could, and it’s would be so much less to manage.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
