Back on a bike !!!

Post by kingfixer »

Well after seeing the surgeon for what I thought was the last time, I have been given the all clear to ride again and get back to the gym. Felt weird as I haven’t been on a bike since April 15th, so in the good weather I came up the yard on the multi....happy days !!!

Totally weird, quire nervous to be honest especially taking corners with all the trouble ive had with my shoulder. Just kept thinking don't fall off !!! :D
I had a quite in depth chat with the surgeon, he said it took them hours to put my collarbone back together he said it was smashed to bits about 6-7 pieces, that's why my shoulder aches a bit as I have quite a big chunk of titanium holding it all together. he said its knitting together nicely but I have to see him again in 3 months, then they'll decide to either take the plates out or not !! he said I have final choice. allowed on my roadbikes but track days a still a no no for a bit.

Yeah he said the X-ray didn’t really show the full extent of the damage, apparently took them hours to fix it
