Current delay is 4 fecking hours.. Stuck in a small airport with 2 bored children and bugger all to do!

Worse, all offices are shut so you can't get any info at all..

If the delay is over 4 hours you are entitled to compensation from the airline. Chase them straight away.

When you spend three days bringing the platform back online after a major shutdown and are almost at the point of production streams online, and nightshift trips the place (full plant shutdown at the wells) and you spend the day redoing all your hard work (deadhorse)

This had been my hardest swing ever Offshore and I still have over a week to go.

It was technically no ones fault.

Only had 2 of the 3 big 43 MW turbine driven re-injection/export gas compressors on line, and one had a control card failure, tripped that compressor out, which bounced the fuel gas system (which would normally handle it if all 3 were running, but didn't when it lost 50% of its demand instantly). That then tripped the remaining compressor. That leaves the export gas stream no where to go, so it initiates a total Plant Shutdown and closes in all the wells on their safety valves.

back up to speed again now... kinda

I dropped my lid and I've broken the side pod bracket. (facepalm) (gah)

I'll have to find some superglue this evening. Only one of the 3 clips is broken, so the visor is in place but I'm wary that the visor could come off.

I'm too far from home to go and get a replacement.

This lid will have to go in the bin when I get home.

I should be ok thanks. A small tube of superglue if you've got one? Just in case I cant' fix it tonight.

I think the side pod catch on my lid is different to the one I've left at yours so I don't think we can cannibalise it

I've got a tube of superglue out and put it in my bike kit. What lid is it? Significantly different to your Nolan here?

It's a Nolan N86.

Thinking about it I'm sure the visors can be used on both lids.

The catch I've broken is on the right as you wear the helmet (not the sun visor catch side).

That's what it looks like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-Vis ... SwPhdVJrih" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've got your lid here and it looks the same. Plus the ebay link mentions N85 (which this lid is) and N86, so they seem the same. Want me to try and extract the catch?

They each drive a 3 stage compressor that either pumps it back down a re-injection well 3-4 km underground or 520 kms to Darwin. That’s a 36” line at 160 Bar.

Can’t you just use the duct tape out of your date rape kit?

Pffffft, amateur.

I don't want the police to link the tape they find at the scene to the tape I'm using on my lid.

I've got it out in one piece - They clip in and out with a bit of careful levering.

It does look the same. We can swop it over tomorrow night, just make sure if you superglue anything you dont glue the mechanism to the helmet underneath :D

I'll put it in my tankbag with some superglue too.

Just to confirm it's your throttle side as you sit on the bike (blush)
