The Royal Wedding

Post by Kwacky »

Does anyone give a shit?

A family pretty much funded by the taxpayer is getting the taxpayer to pay for a £32m wedding. It's taking the piss when there are so many homeless and hungry in this country.

I genuinely think I have had dumps I care about more than this wedding. Why do I care about the wedding of 2 people I have never met, unlikely to ever meet, and even if I did its not like they are gunna be mates. But then I'm the same with any celebrity news, weddings divorces, I don't care, it doesn't affect me or my life in any way.

I remember the last royal wedding my inlaws had a big party to watch it, I refused to go, I'm not the biggest fan of sitting through weddings when I know the people but do it for the bar afterwards and to support whoever it is, watching one of tv just seems inane to me. all th dull bits of the wedding, none of the good.

I didn't mind the last one and was kinda intrigued by it, but that was for the future King and Queen... this wedding is for a "Never-gonna-be" King and Queen.

I don't know if it's true because I can't be bothered to search it, but allegedly the wedding dress costs more than the correct cladding for Grenfell Tower

I hope they have a nice day, but i dont give a shit and really i would imagine they would rather have a quieter wedding without all the crap they have to endure.

It appeals to the wackners in power who like to pretend all is well and isnt the UK good at all this.

I dont dislike the royals but i wont be watching :D

I think it's a great idea, all the normal feckwits that clog up our roads will be glued to their tellies..

Me, I'm of out on the bike to enjoy the quiet roads.

I don't think the tax payer should foot the bill though...

Homeless people in Windsor and the surrounding area have had their sleeping bags and other belongings removed by the police .
I do not pay for the police to harass homeless people I pay for them to uphold the law
I do not see why the British public has to pay for the wedding of a member of one of the richest families on the planet
I do not see what benefit this is to the public
I do not see why the public has to pay for all the security and why police are being reassigned to this duty rather than catching criminals
I quite like the ginger one it's a shame he isn't in line for the top job
I will not be watching or attending but I may get pissed that evening

Y'all are a bunch of old codgers.

I think they make a lovely couple, and I think they'll have lovely babies....black or otherwise, it doesn't matter one bit to me. Nor will it to them.
And in terms of tourism, the Royal Family probably does more to generate it just by it's existence alone than any other family in the UK.
My glass is definitely half full on this one.

One of the downsides of living so close to Wndsor is that it is getting rammed down our throats 24/7. Local radio, press and TV are all having a field day.

Jess loves the Royals and even though she is up at mine for the weekend is heading back home to watch the 4 hour coverage because she knows better than to try and watch it here.

Up side for me is her cute best friend Jen is back and up here on the weekend and she doesn’t care for it either, so I get left alone to have drinks and a movie date with her (happy)

It's looking likely (not that I normally follow these things) that Megan's mum is going to give her away as her dad is ill. I really hope that's going to happen and might even consider watching it if it's true.
