So over the weekend ive done around 300 miles. Met up with Farmer and had a good catch up on Sat and had a local ride down to Alton The departure Lounge Cafe, then headed up to H Cafe through all the nice fast flowing roads. Cracking day left at 0830 came back in the afternoon

Yesterday met up with the Advanced lot and headed down to Bognor Regis to a nice pub. Made a couple of friends in that pub as well, one was a Husky and one was a collie

What a superb weekend i have really enjoyed it and feel so happy. F' you winter

Last minute decision this morning to get out on it. I haven't posted much recently as I haven't really felt like a biker, what with the bike being SORN'd and festering in the garage. But with only a few months before I head off to Cyprus I'd better make the most of things.

Pootled down to Quatt, parked up, took a pic of the bikes, then carried on down the A442, A465 and A49, may have missed my turn off home but found a new route.

Today was about going at my own pace. Sometimes on a rideout with others I'll have to go faster than I'm used to, sometimes slower. It pushes me out of my comfort zone, which is sometimes a good thing but only if I'm in the right mindset. Today's antics saw me chilling the hell out about everything, from seeing 3 figures on the speedo to sitting behind traffic doing less than 50 and not caring about it, just enjoying the views, the scenery and the feeling of freedom.

It's only my 3rd real ride of the year, I have some rust to shake off, and more importantly some chicken strips to wear down! KFC have been in touch about their new, family-size portions...

Booked it in for the fork seal replacement. Unfortunately he couldn’t fit it in before I go to work in 2 weeks so it’s going in the day after I get back. Think next breaks kid free weekend will have to be a biking weekend away, only had little local tottles lately, hankering for a decent ride.

Took the 853 out yesterday afternoon for its first proper ride since the winter.

Domino grips are great. The SBS pads are fitted are brilliant. the bike slows and stops so much quicker than before.

The bike ran superbly but i'm taking it to Cornerspeed next week as Neil has suggested trying a lightweight flywheel to try and cure the stalling issue.

Rode to work and started to break in this lovely new jacket I picked up at the weekend, the trousers are waiting for me at home as they didn't have my size in stock.

Nice leathers. I do like the Furygan stuff, it does stand out from the crowd. Their advertising is pretty unique too.

Cheers mate, to be honest I'll just be happy if they last a year without some of the stitching coming undone like the last brand I've had 3 times.....

Bit more plain than I'd normally go for but they seem to fit nice and be good quality

Took it to work last night expecting to take it tonight as well but it was hammering it down this evening, couldnt see where i was going on motorway, felt sorry for the poor buggers i noticed coming from the opposite direction who did take their bikes out, would of expected to see just big tourers out but also saw a couple of sports bikes! I know rain makes you a better rider theres no doubting that but not on way to work lol

Washed and dried it ready for tomorrow if the weather is okay.

I bought a cheap pet dryer on ebay and to be fair to it, the thing works great! About as noisy as a hoover but it's blowing out a strong jet of warm air that drys the bike nicely and get's all the water out of bolt heads and switch gear.
£44 well spent I think.
