Imagine if he won on the Norton.

Great bike to look at but I don't think it's a race winner. I hope I'm wrong.

Re: McGuinness confirms Norton TT ride
At least it takes any pressure at all off the guy as the bike is not expected to win. If he gells with it though....
It will be interesting as he's mainly a honda man - cracking engine on that bike, so i hope he goes safely and well.
He's doing what most greats of their sport do, which is struggle to accept he should retire - it's a very physical sport.

Re: McGuinness confirms Norton TT ride
Both in the top ten last year , it's done a 131mph lap , if John is fit and gels well with the team he could be in with a shout , although its hard to see anyone challenging MD and Hutchy for the top 2 spots .Kwacky wrote:Great bike to look at but I don't think it's a race winner. I hope I'm wrong.

Good luck to the Auld Codger, could be a good result if he gets fit in time to tame the Norton, if all else fails at least it sounds good thundering down the mountain. But yeah McD and Hutchy will probably be 1st and 2nd all being equal. John has nothing to prove and a lot to gain so fingers crossed for a dream TT this year for McPint

If nothing else it will get him some laps round the TT this year.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Re: McGuinness confirms Norton TT ride
Hes a great rider but think now is the time to retire he literally has nothing to prove hes been there and done it. On the other hand will love him riding a Norton i wonder if it will just be for this year though

Tweeted tonight that he has had an injury setback. Not confirmed what other than he is struggling to get his head round it.
