Oh look over there, an immigrant! A Schrodingers immigrant, simultaneously taking your job and your unemployment benefit! Where's that flag flying Biffer when you need him?

Re: Carillion on the brink of administration
The corruption and stupidity of this lot beggars belief..

Seriously WTF.… Amazingly, one of the firms is currently under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office for suspected offences of bribery and corruption. Another has previously been caught red-handed mispricing contracts, underestimating their eventual cost… Another of the companies operates in the Cayman Islands and has been shown to use that location as a way of avoiding tax. Another of the firms is part of a group that has reportedly abused and exploited migrant workers in Qatar.”

Re: Carillion on the brink of administration
Carillion had tried to avoid paying into its pension schemes, whilst still paying shareholders their dividends and bonuses.
It doesn't take much to change the law to prevent this from happening, but the government refuses to do so. They believe shareholders should be rewarded for investing their money, but workers deserve no protection.

Re: Carillion on the brink of administration
These CEOs nearly all come from super rich families with connections in high places. They fold companies, steal money from pensions, force government to bail them out. Its all a big scam of the capitalist system which is only good for the siper rich and the top theives in high places.
There are two types of theives in this country and in most parts of the world where capitalism is the governing system. One type of thief steals and the police goes after them and another type of thief where the police protects them. And theres fook all anyone can do about it. :-)

Certainly is.Kwacky wrote:This country is falling apart
Doesn't matter who you ask but if you talk to Anyone who works for the Government then they are told there is no money for anything.
Courts system barely exists, no police, not enough doctors or nurses, huge waiting times to see either, roads in appalling condition again, yet Govt debt continuing to rise. You can't expect the country to run on the goodwill of its workers forever.

Will we sell enough to break even though as I believe post Brexit the UK implodes and sinks into the North SeaMonty wrote:50% to you!duke63 wrote:Cost of those is going up 25% soon.Monty wrote:I’m starting up a blue passport factory, I’ll be minted!
I'm having second thoughts I might invest in buoyancy aids to help float my worthless pounds back to the safety of land instead
