Gilles CSB footpegs

Post by duke63 »

Featured in PB mag this month and i can see these are a great idea for sportsbikes but £172? How do the justify that? They get a great review but....

Hopefully we will see some more sensibly priced options soon.

I had Gilles pegs on my 650.....they rip the sh#t out of everything....leathers, boots, my leg, etc......the serrations on them are ridiculously sharp. Bad enough that I went back to the OEM rearsets.

I still have scars on my leg from those tw@ts.

Fwiw I like the serrated grippy angled bit on the end, my boot slipped off my OEM Triumph peg more than once, never happened after I changed to a high grip SES footrest (and rear sets), but the sharp edges did cut up the boots around the ball of the foot area.

I could see those working better and prolonging boot life for track riders, £172 is a lot of gold, but boots cost more tbh.

I just throw my bikes up the rode once on each side, all my pegs look like that afterwards :D
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

I'm not talented enough to need special pegs. :D
