Nothing. I feel as if I'm wasting a day, but at the same time I keep trying to convince myself that doing nothing is the right thing to be doing.

If you can’t take a day for yourself at this time of the year Kwacky, there’s something wrong. I’ve learnt the hard way sometimes those lazy days are just as important as the busy ones.

God, it's cold today.
And on the news earlier....apparently it's warmer on Mars than it is in Minneapolis right now.

Yep doing bugger all is sometimes good for (and needed by) the soul. Helps to recharge for the next busy days.kiwikrasher wrote:If you can’t take a day for yourself at this time of the year Kwacky, there’s something wrong. Re: What are you doing today ??
Been to the tip today. Had loads of cardboard from Christmas pressies and some old bits and pieces too. My boot was full of crap. Also picked up some new Christmas tree lights as well because on Christmas Eve our old ones went bang!! Luckily e everything was half price at our garden centre...they were £40 down to £20, not bad purchase!

Put the bins out, then clearing and tidying the house up in preparation for the return of my Sister, but this time accompanied by her new chap. She thinks highly of him, plus he actually has a real job, so a vast improvement over the ex-husband. Fingers crossed he passes inspection.

Not a lot planned for today, and looking forward to it. Just got to clean the guinea pig hutch and a 12 mile run later.Stonesie wrote:Just work and a gym session later to work off some turkey and beer.

I'm in work. Horrible drive in, the rain was really heavy. Still, it didn't stop a coach driver hammering down the M40 at about 80mph. Fecking idiot.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went out with me mate to take a look at a k3 GSXR which looked lovely in the pics but close up aesthetically it just didn't stack up. Lovely family and I'm sure the bike was mechanically sound but me and my mate decided it wasn't going to be 'the one'. Plenty more time before prices start to rise due to better weather so no rush!

Ditto - fire on, box set and NYE party recovery with lots of coffee and mince pies - not a bad way to spend a day tbh. Plus the weather is really bad here today.

Back home now with a coffee and youtube.
The run home proved one thing, my new-ish Goretex textiles are really waterproof and quite warm, the bike was flawless as always and grimy greasy damp roads are hell on the visor... I was happier to ride in rain.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Much the same as Cookie actually, fire is lit, hot drinks and chilling.
Sitting and talking to Mrs Gee, I have realised that our nearly two week Christmas holiday has been spent repairing my extended family, pouring drinks, serving food, washing and hoovering, stripping and making beds as our guests move through and generally working my butt off as well as eating, drinking and laughing. Mrs Gee has done even more than I have and we’re both knackered.
No guests this weekend coming, so a little us time is on the cards I think. Zzzz
