In all honesty the area will never cope with the influx of traffic and people for an event like that.
It just doesn't have the infrastructure in the surrounds and no one is going to build loads of hotels for one weekend a year.
Its and instance of someone trying to make loads of cash on the back of government grants.

Cheap track day and camping holiday though. Can't see it working out as a MotoGP venue, but I'm all for people building new race tracks.
