Tried watching Empire strikes back with my Mrs so she can catch up and we can go to see The Force Awakens. She fell asleep. Looks like I'll be going alone....

I went to Star Wars with my brother & 9 yo nephew, and a friend with his 10 yo son.
IMO it had some good aspects & was engaging, some material was "just the same old, same old & very over-used". But as Basil Fawlty said; "what do you expect to see from a Torquay hotel window".
Interestingly the 10 year old dozed off a few times, and 9 year old was utterly terrified a few times (needed some serious comforting from his dad).

I am the worst for nodding off in the cinema, me and my missus used to go a fair bit ( back in the day of Orange Wednesdays) but gave up because I missed literally all of the films we went to see!

It sounds like it's made for the youngsters who have never seen the older ones but think it would be good to see the film.on the big screen!!

Yes thanks mate.
He speaks Spanish as his primary language, but as he has a British father he speaks perfect English too & when over here speaks English. Interestingly when he was scared I noticed he automatically defaulted to speaking in Spanish.

Wow that's really good at such a young age, speaking different languages is something British people really need to learn, I find we take it for granted that 'everybody speaks English'. That young man will go far mate

Well, actually I can't even speak Spanish so I know exactly what you mean.
However fwiw he's smarter than that.: I told you about the Spanish & English, but they live in Barcelona, so the school that he goes to teaches in Catalan ( sort of a bit like Welsh is to our English ) so he speaks fluent Catalan too.!!
