Sat at Ford Dealers for almost 2 hours waiting for them to sort out my Bluetooth.

I have found for the past 4 to 6 month that my Bluetooth steering wheel button doesn't work consistently (voice activation button). Been a long time due to work and a very good summer so have put off sorting this out.

But a month and half ago I got fed up and decided I would arrange them to look at it...afterall it has got a warranty. So after waiting ages for this appointment I took the car in

It misbehave sometimes it works other times I doesn't and more often than not it doesn't!

This morning I did a test like i do every day and It worked...engine on, engine off, phone connected, phone discounted everything I tried it was workong prefectly. I couldn't believe it! Turned up and told the service guy this even when yesterday I tested it and it didn't work at all! Service guy said they will test it and try their best but if it doesnt misbehave then there's not a lot they can do about it

Well 2 hours worth of waiting the service guy came up to me and told me that IT DID MISBEHAVE and now they have tried to rectify the problem eg, updates on software etc but nothing seemed to work so the engineer had to take everything out of the steering wheel (facia, airbag etc) and clean all inside.

They are happy to report it now works!!

I will do my own tests, fingers crossed it doesn't mess around now!!

Sorry to hear that Kingfixer, my inlaws old basset hound had to be put to sleep suddenly Thursday night, which was sad, I never had dogs but Id known Meg for over 10 years and was the first dog I probably bonded with so not nice.

The vets said they would have to do more tests and minor ops to try and find out whats wrong but really she had had enough, so we had to take the awful decision to let her go.
Lots of tears yesterday, and the mrs was still crying this morning, her regime was a 6am walk so getting up this morning with basically no dog to walk hit her a bit hard.
I've said goodbye to a few now and it never gets any easier.

They give you more pleasure than pain, but very sad.

Sympathies... :(

So awful to lose any pet but I don't believe a dog is a pet.. a dog is family. So sorry for your loss and I hope you are okay

Sorry to read of your loss Kingfixer.
I love having a dog, but it breaks your heart when they go doesn't it mate.
You just have to console yourself by reminding yourself that you gave Dixie the best life she could have ever wished for, and that's what any dog would want.
How long had she been part of your family.?

My mrs only has rescue dogs, Dixie was due to be put down when she got her 11 years ago, she was a staffy crossed with a greyhound, an odd mix but she was a lovely dog. My mrs loves dogs, she had 3 when I first met her, I will mention about getting another, but I will give her a bit more time yet before I do.

Kingfixer, so sorry for the loss of part of your family.. it is true they aren't pets they are part of the family . Been through it quite a few times as have others and it never gets easier.

I'm not sure why we keeping getting another afterwards but the joy and pain they bring is just so worth it

The title of this thread is "What are you doing today ??"
Do we therefore take it that you are "doing her" today then Jon.?

Got some stuff done today, changed the radiator on dad's peugeot in about 10 minutes, then found he had forgot to pick up some antifreeze.
So I swapped my wheels on the car (winter tyres) and found that annoying knocking noise, fixed that, my test drive let me buy his coolant and waited for the cooling fan to kick in.

Tomorrow, the bike could do with a run.
