The packaging or the food?Kwacky wrote:Making it biodegradable would be a good start.

Make the packaging biodegradable.
Make the food digestible.

The waste should be McDonalds problem, not the local councils.
Maybe give people a reduction on their next visit if they return the packaging for recycling.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
It's a restaurant, not a charity/recycling plant.....it's not their waste, it's customer waste.
If I sell something to someone, and they decide to dump it in the street, how is that my problem??

That's the problem with this world. Always someone elses fault.
If i were McDonalds i would be ashamed that a high proportion of the litter on the streets has my company logo on it.

IT problems at work and a meddling manager looking to grow the scope of the project AGAIN despite being late and having had this exact discussion a few months ago.

It won't change until the sorts of Twunts who can just discard their dross without so much as a second thought , are made to act more responsibly.
Looking at the way society's structure in the UK is going currently, that's not going to happen any time soon imho.
I don't think McD's can have much influence on that, frankly.

Everyone is responsible. The supplier, the retailer, the end user, the council, etc, etc. Everyone in this chain has an opportunity to reduce, reuse or recycle.

100% Cav, just imagine if we all took account of our own individual effects on the environment. Energy, waste, pollution etc, what a place that would be. Never going to happen though, for the same reason communism never works, we (society) don't see each other as equals.

If we're talking mileage, in the last 2 years I've done 5000 miles on my pushbike and commuted by car only a handful of time I fart a lot though so I'm producing significant volume of methane. Oops.

DHL.
Expecting the new work laptop. Just heading to the gym for an earlyish session this morning and get a ping to say the delivery is between 9:30 and 11:30.... turned round and headed back home... now 14:30 and I'm still fecking waiting..
What makes it worse is the tracking map showing the van was parked up for 2 hours before lunch, and it's now driving in circles about 5 miles from here but the delivery count is not going down.

It's taken the company 2 weeks to onboard me into the systems and dispatch a laptop.. internal delays apparently..C00kiemonster wrote:So the laptop is over a week late now?D6Nutz wrote: ↑20 Sep 2023, 14:27 DHL.

Still, it's here now and I've logged in.
Tomorrow will be moaning that I'm having to work again the last 3 months have shown me I'd be very happy in life if I never had to work again..
Oh.. and they've spelt my name wrong in every system.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Racists.
Birmingham City were winning last night in probably our best game of the season.
Yet one of our "fans" racially abused one of our players (who had scored two goals).
The game was stopped while the player reported it to ref, who in turn spoke to both managers.
Racism is learned behaviour. We have to speak out against those who perpetuate it.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I cannot comprehend hatred towards entire groups of people en masse. I just can't. Sure, there's going to be a cnut in every group of people, but you don't judge the entire group based on 1. Sadly I feel it's encouraged by the media, keeping the population distracted with trivial (or not) manufactured issues.
