Re: 2016 Kawasaki WSBK
One wonders what the point of spending all that money on prototypes is? Especially when a tuned street bike can do that!
I guess the GP bikes are quicker in a straight line?

Re: 2016 Kawasaki WSBK
In fairness, it isn't entirely a fair comparison as they aren't on the same tyres and I can hand on heart say that tyres make the single biggest difference to performance.
The MotoGP boys make an extra 30bhp I think.. mind you they probably only exploit the extra 30bhp a handful of times in a lap...

Scott Redding is flying on that Pramac Ducati. There is a video on the Pramac Twitter feed of him bump starting the bike on his own in the pit lane.

Yeah I saw that Duke.
I figured he was practicing bump starts in case of after an accident.

Re: 2016 Kawasaki WSBK
Lorenzo's qualifying time for Jerez this year was a 1min 37 .9 still impressive times though for bikes based on a production bike.
Not many riders lined up for WSBK at the moment though.
I'm sorely tempted to try and go to the Monza race this year at the end of July.
