There really is no point to just one drink Deegee... I ration myself to drinking the days I don't work I feel it's only fair when I'm stuck out here dry for three weeks at a time. I tell ya, there are some days I consider sucking on an iso-wipe

You should....I won't touch that crap. I'd never realized, I'm quite a picky eater....meat just turns me off....I'm not veggie or nowt, I just eat it very sparingly.

I reckon the food was fine. I bet Monty was referring to the fact that the perky little flusie who served him was only about 18.
Lucky those KFC food bags are bigger than a lunchbox.

The local shop has been selling hobgoblin in a 5 litre barrel.. Well, it would have been rude not to buy one (or two ) so I've been enjoying a few pints myself... Good beer IMO.

Yes...a calzone would prolly be my choice....dunno if I'm old-fashioned, or just old, but I like foods that need silverware/cutlery....I like a knife & fork to eat with.
Today I am having : Roast chicken roasted on leeks, carrots and celery served with cavolo nero, purple sprouting , swede and peas (I don't eat roast pots)
and to follow my fave home made baked rice pudding made with full fat milk, double cream and dusted with brown sugar
Whilst making this concoction I am being assisted by Messrs Chateauneuf du Pape

Sundays out here is nicknamed Mongolian night.
One of the food serverys stops it's regular service and basically offers a stir fry type affair.
You pick your meat and veggies, give it to the 'chef' ( loosest possible term there) and they stick it on the hotplate for you.
The Yanks go nuts for it, all day there's a queue that takes at least 20 minutes (I'm being conservative as well, waits can take up to 45 minutes!) but at the end of the day, it's just a stir fry.
So given my disdain for vegetables I'll be giving it a miss and hitting Burger King tonight!
