Shame it rained on your first day of picking the new bike up mate but good time to see what it will be like when you start using it for commuting as you know most those days will be crap weather lol_

Had a look at the sx at the Manchester bike show today and great piece if kit. Much better put together than the tracer. Good choice Kwacky

Is the hydraulic preload adjuster standard. Both sx bikes at the show had it, which is a very impressive spec.

It is standard. Kwak thought it would make life easier if you wanted to change settings for pillions and wanted easier access if you've got the panniers on.

Very good accessory / spec from Kawasaki as many bikes don't have this.

I came straight home. The heavens opened up as I walked out of the dealers. It's locked up and under cover. Not even the kids have seen it.

I decided a while ago that my next bike would be for commuting and must have power modes, which is why I was so keen on the Tracer when it was announced.

Speed in any conditions is related to confidence and if less power and more electronic aids give more confidence in tricky conditions than power modes are a no brainer.

When you need new tyres, kwacky, i would seriously consider the Michelin PR4's. I went out this afternoon and got caught out in a massive downpour.

Now whilst these tyres do not have the sportiest feel and so not the very best for dry days ( and i know i was saying i would not replace with the same the other day), in the wet they are awesome and totally confidence inspiring. I can now see what all the fuss is about. Not only that but they have now done over 3000 miles and i reckon there is at least as much wear again if not more. the original set of tyres the Multi wore out back and front in less than 3000 miles. For commuting and doing big miles they are well worth the cash.
