That's a shame. He was a decent actor. Mona Lisa is often overlooked when people talk about good British films.

What a shame, I remember him back in the late 70's doing a series where he was a drivers mate who couldn't read or write, and the driver was teaching how too, who'd have thought he would become the great actor he became ? Mona Lisa was good as was The long good Friday, could watch either at any time
