Post by Kwacky »

is off to the big house

Publicist Max Clifford has been found guilty of eight indecent assaults on women and girls as young as 15 by a jury at Southwark Crown Court.

The 71-year-old, from Surrey, was found guilty of a string of charges over a period of nearly 20 years.

He was cleared of two charges of indecent assault, while the jury failed to reach a verdict on another charge.

I hope its a genuine fair cop, Guv and not just the system getting their own back.

He caught out and shamed some really powerful people at various times through his life.

It took one hell of a long time for justice to catch up with him didn't it.?

As pointed out above, he's made plenty of powerful enemies over the years. I'm struggling to understand why one of them hadn't seen to it that this had all come out a long time ago.
If I was one of his high profile victims I dam certain I would have.!

I would imagine the repeated dry bumming could also have a negative impact on his health.

Everyone was scared of him and the power he had it seems.

I read on the BBC website how he worked very closely with the newspaper editors and for nearly every story he sold to the Press, he would do a deal with them to keep another story OUT of the Press.

Barristers used to fight for his work because he issued so many injunctions, which are very expensive in legal fees.
