The wife was back at work full time yesterday at they were working out how they could teach primary kids in the current environment.

Seems the kids and teachers will be in a ‘bubble’ for the future. One person goes ill then everyone in that bubble will be isolated and have to be tested. No one, pupils or teachers can move from one bubble to another at any point for any reason.

That's still a joke to me. Schools spread illness rapidly. Fingers crossed the government doesn't kill off teachers then (y)

Thats why they have risked assessed the situation and put migrations in place to reduce the risk.

You cant compare school with no migations in place to school with migations in place. The classroom they are going back to is dramatically different to how it was pre CV19.

As a parent I wouldnt send my kids back to school if I didnt feel it was safe. Yes there is a risk they may get cv19 at school, as there is a risk they get knocked over crossing the road going to school if we left that risk unmanaged and un mitigated.

I'm not overly familiar with the mitigation they've put in place besides a few images of tape on the floor and separated desks.

My concern is that young people (in particular 4-6 year olds) do not understand the idea of consequence and they also follow the crowd. My concern therefore isn't in the classroom but at break time.

The government is asking for a hell of a lot from teachers, whom are human, and will make mistakes at times due to fatigue and stress.

I hope it all works out it's just a lot to put on teachers and schools

With respect Cav and Im geneuinely not being nasty or argumentative, but there are too many internet experts claiming things on matters they havent looked into or know anything about. Maybe find out what migations are in place before commenting on a subject your not informed on. Your above concerns have been addressed. Nobody is taking their child's safety lightly or recklessly.

As regards asking alot of teacher's. Not really, not any more than any other key worker and personally speaking I dont believe with the mitigations in place I'm taking any significant risk.

With kids that age you just turn it into a game. They might not understand the concepts of "social distancing" and "pandemic" etc., but they understand how to play a game. So you do that, and you stagger their breaks, lunchtimes, canings, etc. Little buggers.

our schools are going back full time from next week, and NSW was the last state to do so. It's back to normal rules, If they don't attend there must be a valid medical reason and a doctors Cert for more than 2 days in a row. I'm pretty happy for mine to go back, the level of infection in my area is extremely low and mitigation's are suitable I feel.

My kids are well ready to go back, which for Jorja is no surprise, but it's a complete flip around for Byron. He's realised that being at school isn't half as bad as he thought compared to the alternative of home schooling. Though he did say he preferred home schooling with me than mum, so I'll take that compliment (lol)

I'm pretty happy with our rates of new infections compared to restrictions still in place to prevent community spread in Australia, practically all new cases in my state are people that are in quarantine already due to there situation.

Surely a gradual return to school for pupils is a gradual return to normality for everyone?

The government doesn't want a massive spike in new cases, so the population is being controlled in stages in returning to pre-covid normality.
