Depends on the starting point though. Doubling 10 or even a 100 is still low.

What is the current number of covid hosptial admissions?

The infection rate in my Borough is 90 per 100,000 but no data on how many of them end up in hosptial.

If it doubles every week, then the rise becomes exponential.

That's what happened back in March and April.

Although this is long, I think it is worth a watch, very interesting analysis.

Hospitals have been told to limit the number of tests they do otherwise they won't get paid for carrying them out. The need to get permission from Serco before they can do them.

That makes sense though.....medical staff are right there, and it keeps out people who may infect the patients already inside the hospital.

Not into conspiracy theories but does make you wonder if the Chinese are wanting to cripple western economies, that or their recklessly badly regulated pharmaceutical companies couldn't care less what damage they do.

David Attenborough said recently that the way we've killed off a large number of species of animals it's left an unnatural balance in the food chain. That's allowed small animals like bats and mice to breed at alarming rates. They carry disease and their numbers allow new diseases to develop.

Attenborough reckons we'll start up see 4 or 5 new virus or bacteria develop each year that'll be able to be transmit to humans.

Sorry to hhear that, kiwi.

Life has to have a balance between work and the rest of life.

The older I get the more i want that balanced away from work. Its pointless working too much to buy stuff you then never have the time to enjoy. Talking to work colleagues and friends, lockdown has made many realise that.

My distiller mate rang me yesterday, has a new venture in the pipeline. Wants me in with him. I’m seriously going to consider what he can put on the table. I’d be working 30-40 mins from home and doing something I’m passionate about.

Industrial farming is at the heart of these problems. Over use of chemicals, antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides is a recipe for disaster.

Got to be worth a long chat and a long think. This could go on for a few years for all we know.

speaking from experience working in something you are passionate about is the best thing you can do , it makes work seem like not work (most of the time ) and working with friends who feel the same way is a bonus .

Since the Chief Health Officers of each state has become the people calling all the shots and State Premiers have become power hungry under the guise of ‘protecting our state from COVID’

Literally the PM can’t tell them what to do in their own state management, although he had been quite scathing of a number of the Premiers and had told them to think again if they put their hands out for Federal economic relieve, after they have killed their economies with ridiculous lockdowns.

I agreed with the restrictions at the start of all this but the balance here is completely out of wack now. NT still class Sydney as a hotspot with 140 active cases from a population of 5 million.

Sounds like more people will lose their lives from the preventive measures than from the disease itself.
