Personally I think being a hypocrite is very poor and the minister has been a first class D1ck.

I also realise the News Papers have the right to print topical news stories to the public, but I can't help think that is irresponsible of the Daily Mail to print that story on a gloriously sunny Good Friday and the start of a long Bank Holiday weekend in lockdown. Agree some will do it anyway but suspect that irresponsible story could open the flood gates to many, many more who are restless, bored and frustrated at being boxed up in a flat or apartment in a city centre, with no garden available.

The difficulty comes when the authorities are forced to apply the same rules to everyone in different situations.

Personally, I’ve been breaking the rules and driving the kids out for runs in the Peaks. It’s a 5 minute drive to a footpath in the middle of nowhere that nobody uses. No one will convince me that that isn’t much safer for everyone than going to my local park full of other people.

The local police enforcing the rules just need to apply some common sense, which they do appear to be doing.
