Are your orders converting to revenue or are you just getting orders at the minute?

That too but also orders being paid for and fulfilled. A lot of orders are being placed but not all of them are getting paid for.

Work called, they want to increase my days from 1 to 3 a week which I've agreed to. They want Wednesday to Friday but I've asked for Tuesday to Thursday. I'll see what they say.

Good news, hopefully you get the days you want, had the same chat with my boss today, two days is no way enough to deal with what I am dealing with. I think 3 days would be good. we will see how it goes.
Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday would be nice, then 4 days off..... 8)

I have even set up an appointment next Tuesday.... ha ha better check my suit and see if it fits, I have lived in shorts & Tees for the past three months

I'm struggling today to get into it. Having had so much time off this year it's a real problem trying to get back into the flow.

Within work, I thrive under pressure so long as there are clear targets and goals; but that to me is more about management. There's got to be the pay off of job satisfaction though in my experience - those who enjoy their job put more into it. A lot of folk younger than me want a quick buck or an easy life and to some of you older guys you may even view me in the same light as it is obviously a sliding scale.

When I was looking for work I was acknowledging that a higher paid job is going to be more stressful than a lower paid job and I was prepared for that.

My most frustrating job was my last mechanics job, I was working for an older couple who were winding down for retirement and liked the easy life, the work was all done for the day by 3 and I was there until 5:30, cleaning, chatting, bored out of my skull.

They let me control the bookings for 2 weeks to shut me up and I had us working until 5:30... I was happy as a pig in muck but they hated it and soon put a stop to it.

Well that's it, isn't it....the job itself is usually fine provided you know what you're doing.
It's the people, and all the other peripheral bulls#!t surrounding a job that makes or breaks it.

I've got my annual appraisal today. There's not much I can say. I still hate it. I fully expect to be made redundant. That's it.
