Sorry to hear its tough for everyone. I was on furlough for about a month. My wife doesn't work, so 20% less was tough. But 60mile commute meant at least some fuel savings.

I'm back working now, but then get announced that my work will make a load of redundancies, luckily i was ok. But was a worry until I heard the news, as that meant no income at all for our household if I lost my job.

Glad you made it through that, D6 !!

Furlough isn't so bad for people that have a 20 miles or more commute and as you say, you can actually make a small saving.

I'm extremely lucky I managed to dodge all of it and come through it better so far.

I sincerely hope you all come out of this no worse off and hopefully better off!

I have managed to keep afloat mostly due to the SEIS grant from the Govt but that will not see me through until we get back to some semblance of normality , I have some trackdays booked this year but club racing is my bread and butter an nobody seems to have any idea when that will be viable to operate again .

Had a call from work. They want me to do 1 day a week for July. But they're telling me the week day has to be fixed, so I've got to agree now to it being a Thursday or a Friday. I thought the part time return was supposed to be flexible.

I think he means he has to commit to one or the other then stick with it.

Like women, I suppose.

Yeah I understand that, but their "flexibility" is allowing him to choose the day he has to stick to.

It's not flexible once it's fixed, is it?
