Fahrenheit 11/9
I realise that Michael Moore isn't everyone's cup of tea, but this needs watching.
At the very least just watch how those in power in Flint managed to stop the population having fresh water, instead replacing it with a new water pipeline, piping poisoned water into everyones homes giving kids lead poisoning and the ageing population killed off with Legionnaires Disease.
To make it worse the local government faked the test results and told parents that their kids had safe levels of lead in their system.
The programme also shows how Trump was joking about being president and how the Democrats faked the primary results to get Hilary as their candidate.
This is the modern western world.
And you'll learn the term "redneck" comes from.

Re: Fahrenheit 11/9
Has there been some sort of re-make/update that I haven't heard of.?
Or are we talking about the incisive & informative 2004 film that the world seemed (for some inexplicable reason) to largely ignore.?

Yaa, the original.Jack wrote:you can watch it here : https://vimeo.com/15251240
LOL, I'm pleasantly reassured that you would have a link to it to hand Jack.
On an aside, I wonder what direction the world would have taken if Gore had won that election.

I have to say I'm "surprised" at the timing.

I watched it on Netflix.

The footage at 37 seconds is the US Army carry out a live fire exercise. In a city. That's still inhabited. They didn't tell the residents. That's a city in the USA being used by the US Army to test weapons.

Re: Fahrenheit 11/9
Are they testing weapons, or testing tactics, procedures, etc.??
Seems to be the way they're doing it these days, with the emphasis on urban/suburban scenarios rather than large scale war games.
The police SWAT teams do the same thing occasionally.

I didn't. I'm having trouble watching videos on this phone at the minute. This is a pretty sh#t neighborhood for internet speed/connection. It comes & goes at random.

Testing how to destroy anyone who doesn’t agree with them by the looks of the video.
