Any recommendations?

I just want something to watch TV on.

My lad has the one you have posted and I have this one:

I only use for watching TV and its perfect in that role. My only comment is you cannot store APPS on a SD Card they have to be on the device storage.

Not a problem for me as I don't have many APPs and put my films on the SD card and watch via the APP which is stored on the device or stream live TV sometimes if I m in a hotel and want to watch say BT Sport.

Perfect on mine and used it many times in that role, just recently in Cornwall last week.

Not sure on the one you suggest as thats my boys not mine and he hasnt got the Virgin app on his tablet. I imagine it would be fine but check the screen resolution or go and try in store. Just connect to youtube and stream some HD content

I got the T3 10 from Huawei with a 3 year new for old warranty for £115.

It's not the fastest but it's a great pit of tech for the price

It's fine. You might find it a bit basic after an iPad but it's a bargain for the price.

More than capable for the task in hand and that's all we use ours for.
