You're also classed as employed if you have to care for a relative.

Totally different. The gulf between the two is vast, etc.

The concept of "shared wealth" is something they both have in common though, isn't it???

No not shared wealth it's about public ownership and meeting the public needs, not just profits for a few. We don't want an all powerful government bureaucracy (Comunisium), but we don't want big corporate bureaucracies controlliong society either.

It's the belief that social and economic decisions should be made by those who they most affect. And I'm not talking about Starbucks, Google, Apple etc, I mean water, energy, transport etc etc.

Well then as is so often the case, we shall agree to differ.

Men will always be mad, and those who think they can cure them are the maddest of all ?
anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices ?
Almost everything is imitation ?

I'm impressed.

I don't know any Voltaire quotes. Whichever one Monty gave me, I was just going to write "Yep! That's the one!!"
Sneaky b@stard.

I'm worried about Johnson getting in. His hard line "we must quit by 31st October" will appeal to the tory membership, most of which are old and think Brexit is going to give us back the Empire

If he does get to the members vote he will win. I just hope some of the moderates like Ken Clarke can stop him getting there.

Both May and Corbyn were near the bottom of the pile for their respective party leadership elections when it came to the bookies. Corbyn was 500-1 when he announced his intention.

I'm not saying Boris isn't the favourite, but I am saying ignore the bookies ;)

I don't bet. Which is a shame as a mate of mine is very good at political betting. She had £100 on Corbyn. She also put the same amount on Trump to be next president when Obama won his second term. She got 125-1 for that. Her success rate for elections is around 70%. The bugger even got the Brexit result and win margin correct.

I don't normally bet either, it was wishful thinking (plus insider knowledge)
