A world where people are still drinking unclean water in many places......i wonder how far a billion euros would go to helping that problem?

Over 3 million people die every year from drinking unclean water (3.4 million is closer to the mark).
A billion €uros wouldn't go very far at all in helping prevent that. It's worth remembering that other monies, from a variety of sources, are already allocated towards improved water distribution in Third World countries with only mixed-to-moderate results at best.

The WHO spend millions every year trying to convince people in India and Africa that open defecation is an unhealthy practice as it contaminates the water supply , even when they have the facilities many continue this practice , unless these people are educated there will never be a 100% safe water supply .

Watching some news item re: the damage....if I was hearing it right, it doesn't seem that the damage is as bad as was first imagined.
So they're now figuring out how to rebuild it & how close to "original" they should go.
