The day has arrived

Post by T.C. »

In that as of today (Friday) after 30+ years I am mortgage free having made my last payment this morning.

What a lovely dare I say smug feeling it is knowing that the pressure is off not having to make that payment anymore and I can now even consider looking for a part time job if needs be :) (groupdrink)
It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

Git!

I would be mortgage free next year had I not moved.

But I don't regret my decision.

Enjoy the extra funds!

Congrats!!!

I was mortgage free for a month literally and then got divorced.

It is a good feeling, knowing you owe no one in the world a single penny.

It’s a great way to feel, enjoy waking in the morning and thinking “I own this all, every brick, nail and pipe is all mine” then have a brew to celebrate. (coffee

We cleared ours years back, I always thought I’d have loads of spare money without the mortgage, but somehow it hasn’t happened like that. (gah)

I might have been in that position by now if my first flat was not lease hold, and prior to the laws of resident associations etc.... which would have protected me and my fellow flat owners of a crooked lease owner who screwed us all over well and truly, putting me in serious debt.... Makes me angry thinking about it..... (headbang) (facepalm) (gah) Put me back years not to mention my mental health at the time.....

What they say what ever does not kill you makes you stronger.... B******s it makes you bloody poor!
