Not sure why the software update killed the 5ghz connection as it worked fine shifting between 2.4ghz and 5ghz for the previous 22 months :?

Just happy it's improved and thank you everyone who contributed. Top skills (rock)
It's a common issue sadly. The phone will try and take the best wifi it can andcgets confused

Check everything else in the house still works, it should but best to check.

Having the two bands is also a pain when you have a wifi printer. It has to be on the same wifi band to connect to your phone, computer etc and I was having no end of problems till I dropped using the 5 GHz

Glad it’s working Blade

I'm not sure if it's related but think it is as happened when I changed the router settings.

The monitor for the desktop PC looses half of the pixels of text when on the Web.
It comes back if you hit refresh, but looks like I fixed one problem and created another.

I have an old monitor to change out and see if its the monitor or the Web / router settings

Check your screen resolution matches what the monitor is supposed to run at. It's called native resolution.

Also the refresh rate is important (60/50Hz)
