Great use of space but my genuine first thought was the great fire of London. The reason the fire spread so quickly was because the building were so close at the top.

Let's be honest though, a fire in any skyscraper and the occupants are in deep trouble.

Just showed this to a colleague and he pointed out that Singapore already has one of these buildings with 3 towers and a cross-platform

...And nearly all of London's buildings in the 17th century were made of wood. And if they weren't, then the roofs were a wood/thatched combination. And the optimistically titled "fire-fighting services" relied on horse-drawn wagons for water - horses as a general rule are sh#t-scared of fire, etc. etc.

I think we've moved on a bit in the intervening three and a half centuries.....?
