Re: Black Friday
Agreed - Just shows me how overpriced most items are these days when they can discount some things so much.
Unless i'm already looking for the item i dont buy in sales anyway. If i didn't need it before i don't need it in a sale frankly.
Is there a time there isn't an 'sales event' now?

Re: Black Friday
Last year and the year before saw some very good deals... nothing of the sort today.
Best deals were already available throughout this week.
2 years ago - Samsung S7 £23/month 5GB Data
1 year ago - Samsung S8 £28/month 6GB Data
This year? - Samsung S9 £39/month and I don't even care what data it had!!

Re: Black Friday
My phone contract is up. I was hoping to see some bargains but there's nothing out there.
MV West Mids have knocked £500 of a new F3. That's the same F3 they took £500 off in the summer when a customer ordered it using a £500 non-refundable deposit.
Richer Sounds have a TV I want with £200 off. Except the bumped the price up last month by £150. So it's really £50 off.

Just another excuse to try and get people to buy stuff they didn't actually want in the first place.
Its amazing how many clothing companies are offering 25-30% of everything.

Re: Black Friday
I agree on most points but some of the guitar websites have actually got pretty stoking deals on older stock, Ive seen a £3k Gibson nearly 50% off, if you're in the market that's mega saving.

It's just the day after Thanksgiving, that's all. "Unofficial Start Of The Holiday Season" etc.

I've just got a pair of trail trail trainers that I've been after for a while, half price.

Re: Black Friday
Mrs Gee priced stuff up a few weeks back and compared prices today, she’s bought where prices were lower and not bothered where they weren’t.

I was going to answer this this morning but for some reason diecided to take more time to think about it, to answer Yes I do but that is a vey personal opinion becuase I personally feel Gibson guitars are over priced but in general with guitars I wouldnt say so really, you can get lots and lots of very very very good proffesional quality instruments for around the £1000 mark, but once you get to the multiple thousands the main difference is that its much more likely to be hand made, better woods etc. This gets talked about quite a lot in guitar groups and the thing you come back to is does it inspire you to be that bit more creative and if so can you put a price on that, after all it is just a tool to make music so I would say in general no I dont think they are overpriced, I think you get what you pay for, but then I can appreciate from an outsiders point of view that they can look over priced.
Hope this makes sense, I think I waffled so much I didnt really get to a point so sorry! haha

Re: Black Friday
Totally agree....a guitar can be used for work.
Sadly, too many people use them to inflict pain & discomfort on others.
