She managed to drive the car last week for the first time since last September, but she's a long way off going back to work.
Wow.. this is the first I knew of this - really sorry Monty. I couldn't imagine how I would feel if my Fiancé attempted suicide despite having an Aunty attempt suicide a number of years back - it's different with your partner.

I'm glad she's doing well and that she has you but it must be tough for you at times so if you need to vent - I'm here :)

Cheers Dude, I'm doing OK really.

It helps having 4 young kids that depend on you, they are getting me through it.

It’s called Maternity Allowance.
Kate did this. She's doing a bit of Avon for extra income. We looked into it and even if she never paid enough NI, all she had to do was make a payment to top it up and you get full maternity allowance. We got it.

I saw my brother last night. We have a catch up every so often.

His mental health hasn't been the best. He's been very low and had some pretty dark days. I know he's come close to wanting to call it a day.

Anyway, he's loads better. A combination of a supportive GP, the right medication, counselling and having his family behind him has helped no end. He reckons he is 90% better.

A mate of his recently got in touch. He's ex army, lost 2 mates in an attack in Afghan. Poor bloke wasn't getting any help or support so he stole a car and drove round until the police chased him. Once he was arrested he pleaded for help, which he finally got. He's been sectioned but it's the only way he could get what he was after. My brother was able to chat with him about his issues and how he's managed to improve, which has helped his mate no end.

So there is light. Even when it looks like the tunnel has been closed.

That's good news.

I hope he continues back to full health and if he can use his experience to help others then even better.
