Weekend plans

Post by Kwacky »

Anyone got anything lined up?

It'll be a couple of pints at the local brewery for me.

Saturday I'm off to get a new rear tyre for the Versys then I'll go and see my old mate at Sutton Honda to take the DCT Africa Twin out for a test ride. The weather looks a bit crap so it'll be a decent time to find out what it would be like as an every day bike.

Sunday it's a family meal out somewhere.

Currently waiting at the airport to fly to Brisbane. My sisters uncle who lives there is a leading Physio and has looked at my scans and is keen to see me. He thinks it may be nerve traction that is pulling on my spinal cord. So thought it was worth a trip to see him.

Here his bio, pretty impressive.

That's a decent looking CV.

Good luck with the visit.

I think we are led to believe that medicine is an exact science but really much of it is down to experience.

Having seen how different doctors will diagnose completely different results from the same tests with my father, father in law and now brother in law over the last decade I think I would want at least one more opinion when a doctor says it maybe this but. And then suggests a difficult operation.

Couldn’t agree more, I have had both ends of the medical profession involved with my health at different times of my life and there is a colossal difference between the best and worst. Problem is there’s not many ways to find out which end you’ve got.

Not much going on here this weekend, it’s all boring stuff, emptying the last pics etc from my Mothers house, returning paperwork to Estate Agents, rebuilding my log store and let’s not forget some eating and sleeping with a G&T or three. (d)

My brother is organising a festival kind of thing. He's got some local bands and entertainers booked for the day, with a BBQ and beer for the evening.

I'm taking the caravan down tonight to help setup (mainly drink cider) and then pick the family up tomorrow.

I can foresee Sunday being a total write off..
