Rudderless

Post by Kwacky »

Amber Rudd has resigned if the rumours all over twitter are true.

If she has gone she's saved May's bacon, this fukc up with the Windrush generation was her doing.

Good.

May should go as well - they both knew a lot of what was going on imo.

This Windrush issue is just appalling and uncaring.

Lying politicians. Who would have thought it?

The reason this Country is in a mess is due to idiots like these.

The only problem is that waiting in line to take there place is another load of lying politician's. Who only care about making excuses why the others failed and not getting the issues sorted.

Wouldn't it be actually worse for May, as it will leave her closer to the controversy, because she was the instigating Home Secretary after all. ?

I have a few issues with this , for the entirety of the time these windrush migrants have been here they have had the opportunity to fill out one form to give/grant them citizenship , One form that would have been rubber stamped and they could have avoided the problems they are now having , I don't think it's entirely fair to solely blame the current government the previous governments also failed to ensure that these people were properly documented or destroyed documents that proved their right to be here . I think it's only fair to say that successive governments have failed to ensure people are properly documented and that the people themselves must take some responsibility as they have failed to comply with the procedures in place to grant them citizenship .

I does seem more than a little baffling that someone could have lived in the UK since the 60's without even a National Insurance number. ?

You are assuming that the DoE and/or HMRC actually know what they are doing, or these days have enough staff do even do any of these things.

Short term it helps her out as someone has taken the blame.

They were asked for multiple forms of proof for each year, I couldn't provide that.

I do believe that many had official documentation such as NI numbers , driving licenses and in at least one case a full British passport , this unfortunate chap also had a Jamaican passport and used that when he went to visit relatives and was refused re-entry to the UK despite having a UK passport because he left on his Jamaican passport , I believe that May instigated the quotas for deportations , which is fine , what is not fine is that they seem to be picking on easy targets that are legally here but "undocumented" (although it would seem that many if not most have been in the system for years which is why they were so easy to find ) rather than doing some actual work to track down true illegal immigrants .

They aren't undocumented Jack, they were given full citizenship in the 60s and then someone destroyed the landing cards.

No, it was talked about when Brown was PM, but the landing cards were actually destroyed when Pig Fcuker was PM and May ran the Home Office.

It's also not a legal requirement to hold any form of ID in this country, we don't have ID cards.

Unless you want to drive or fly or leave or enter the country or get married or own a gun or open a bank account or buy alcohol or cigarettes (if you are lucky enough to still look fairly young) , I'm pretty sure there are other things that require you to have ID of some form .

Being a citizen isn't one of them
