Introductions - Say "Hello" Here

Post by Kwacky »

Seeing as it's a new site I thought it wa a good time to formally introduce ourselves (if you want to)

I'm a 43 year old Brummie, born and bred. I'm a lawyer by trade defending large value and fatal accident claims. Most of my work is in the civil courts but sometimes we get involved in the HSE prosecutions, inquests and criminal proceedings. It can be hard dealing with some of the cases but I really love my work.

I'm married and have two young kids. I also have a dog, a cat and a large collection of tarantulas.

I'm slowly returning to be being an all year biker. Not done a track day for far too long. Speed wise I reckon I'm medium paced.

OK then
I'm from Oxford, 49 and 3/4's . Retired .
Passed my test in 1981 but riding hand me down crap machines constantly except my Honda plastic, awesome piece of kit :)

Both my first Mr BB and I gave up when children came along as we couldn't afford the time or financial commitment.

When the kids were old enough I did a refresher course and it nearly frightened me to death the difference a few years made so was very glad I did

Children have left home and grandma to a boy of 10 and now on 2nd Mr BB, well he's not totally new (10 years ) but still on trial :)
Over the years I have had a cacophony of machines and swap and change like the weather.

The most exciting being my MVF3 big regret selling her and my worst was my CBR600rr, I absolutely hated that bike.

Most accident prone year was when I had a Dominator and came off all 3 times I got on her thankfully not badly. The worst was riding into the driveway which was slightly up hill and on a camber then hitting the dustbin

Done a few track days but again trying to find the time and money to do track and touring this year was too much especially for both of us so touring it is this year.
We sold both track bikes and van and all the gear
My current steed is a GSXR750 and Mr BB has the ZZR1400

Pets a plenty - Choc lab called Chester, a 7 month old great dane called Poppy, south african leopard tortoise called Turbo, Mrs Bunny, Australian Gullah called Georgie and Phylis Dylis and Layla hens
Thank you for having me

Edit Speed-have been known in my younger days but now self preservation is always sat on my shoulder and generally ride solo as I can't keep up with Mr BB
Edit part 2 Mr BB iwas a bike mechanic for Honda but now is back on the car spanners
Live each day as your last as one day you'll be right !!

I m a 32 year old Swede currently residing in Monaco. I used to work on a consultancy basis for PJB composities designing carbon composite structures for Mclaren F1 but 2 years ago I decided to go in a completely different direction and started my own company producing high quality films for an Adult audience.

I'm single with no kids or pets and if I m honest spend most of my time in work as getting the new business up and running smoothly is very time consuming.

I own a RC30, RC45, R7, 998R track bike and I'm currently awaiting delivery of a Ducati Superleggera which if all goes to plan I hope to Race in the Italian IBK Superstocks class this year for a few rounds to gain some expereince before making a fully on campaign for the title in 2015.

My likes are hot woman, hot bikes, hot cars, filithy milfs and reading poetry as well as playing the tuba.

Favorite food is Fine Italian Cuisne or McDonalds, I enjoy a can of strongbow or the occasional glass of Dom Perignon 2004, I like watching Motogp or Porn and favorite city in the world Simferopol in Crimea.

Hi, my names D6Nutz and I'm a nerd'aholic :D

I'm 39 and a father of 2, I was born down south and have remained there ever since. I'm currently based just outside Reading. I used to live up to the name Nutz by riding for 3-4 hours to get to the meeting point of a rideout (fubar) unfortunately kids have curtailed this behaviour, but my riding days are starting to increase again. When I'm not working or fiddling with the bike you'll find me hiding in tankslap towers hiding in the dark room at the back making sure the site keeps going.

I love my bike and I love blasting round on country lanes, but I wouldn't consider myself a fast or even medium fast rider. It would also seem that my riding is getting slower as I am becoming more and more reluctant to risk crashing the bike..

I'm 53, and a 50/50 English/Welsh mix, (google "Hiraeth" for how that works out), but have lived in a quiet, beautiful corner of the Essex coast all my life. Up until last year I was the SE Tech Support for a large Multi National Company making mobile cranes - the ones with a dozen wheels you get stuck behind on motorways etc. After a couple of very unpleasant operations last year I'm getting back into biking and the work environment, although working in a different capacity if at all possible, watch this space.

I've been married for 15yrs, second time around, with two lads 26 & 11, my oldest is a Head Chef and a biker, in fact he is the 4th generation of us G's to be on powered two wheelers, even my Mother has had a go at riding a bike before I came along, God help us. :S
No pets though, losing my Cocker Spaniel 16yrs back after she saw me through my divorce broke my heart, never again.

I've been around/riding bikes since my early teens, with the usual collection of old field chuffers, graduating on to a motley collection of jap bikes, including my much loved Suzuki GS750 and a GT380 with pretend brakes that ended up in a church Lych Gate. (angel) I've stuck with the Hinkley Triumph's for the last 14 yrs, having found them so far to be well built and fun to ride. My old T595 popped my track cherry at a waterlogged Cadwell courtesy of Triumph hiring the circuit in 2003 as a celebration of the Daytona 600 win on the Island, I enjoy track days although I've been off track since May last year due to being medically unfit post op, I would say my pace on the road is calm/quick and on track usually in the fast group on familiar circuits.

Hey all, I'm Heather, 29 & a midlander! Born & live in Brum (well the outskirts of the city!). Self employed for getting close to 11 years now, main source of work is as a sports coach (specifically Judo, but qualified in a couple of other bits & pieces) also involved in the day to day running of a community centre in Wolverhampton (voluntary), which myself & my Judo instructors saved from being demolished by the city council back in 2009! A couple of billion hours later; sitting in meeting/negotiations & then hands on building work its open for hire once again! (long story, with a few thousand photos of me & co with sledgehammers, concrete mixers & bricklaying etc!)
Getting close to having my full bike licence for almost 2 years now, started out on a lexmoto Xtrs 125cc which I had for a about 6 months or so before deciding to take the direct access training & moving onto a bigger machine! Currently riding a Suzuki SV650 K4 which I absaloutly love! Can't say I'm a speed freak, just like to get out & ride :)
As for pets, one cat!

Real name is Martin, 35 and getting married in 2 weeks. Met the missus on holiday in Magaluf. Classy.

Bit of a gypo/roamer, and have moved house 4 times already. And also spent 7 months travelling round the world (quit jobs, sold house and used £10,000 of the sale so we never had to work during it)

Settled down a little, but got a touring caravan to fulfil the travelling instinct. Honeymoon is in Austria so that should be another country ticked off.

Work for one of the main Motorcycle Manufacturers, and finally have a job and role I enjoy.

Missus has a habit of rehoming dogs, so as well as our 3 border collies, we normally have another dog we are fostering until a home is found.

Done track days a few years ago when I had a Daytona 600, but not had the funds to get back on track recently. I would love to get a track bike though.

I would say I am a medium speed rider, although I have no real idea as I ride with my old man who is definitely a very slow rider!!!

As well as track days I would love to do some touring. Europe mainly, but would love to do the states and new Zealand.

Clean my bike once a year. Ride it a lot more.

Boots still have holes in from a crash 4 years ago. But I finally bought a new helmet last year. Just highlighting the gypo theme.

P.s. From near Wasall (= gypo)

I work for that huge retail company everyone seems to hate but I dont care as they pay me well and 'every little helps' I have been snowboarding since I was a teenager and go at least once a year to terrorize namby pamby skiers on the slopes. Dont play golf, hate football and rugby and find it more and more difficult to stay awake through a whole motogp race the older I get!!

As my username suggests - I am Rob (was D650 Rob on old site - RIP )

I am the grand old age of 31, live in Billericay, Essex but was born in and lived around the Reading area, then grew up in Romford, Essex.

I am a Business Analyst currently contracting in Canary Wharf for a well know "Suisse" bank

I got married last year in Lindos, Rhodes - We invited our parents on holiday with us and sneakily organised the wedding....SURPRISE (party)

We have a 18 month old son, James, who is a proper little boy. Only happy when he his eating mud, causing distruction or creating a mess somewhere in the house.

Pets - We have 2 cats, and 2 horses.....Well, the Mrs has 2 horses, I just have a large expense each month.

Motorcycle history -
Passed my test on 2009, first bike was a Daytona 650. 7 months later, got knocked off on my way home from work on the A13 in London, both my bike and I were suitably broken. After a few months, we were both fixed and so decided to buy the bike back from insurance company and turn it onto a track bike.
After the accident, bought a Street Triple - good fun, but just didnt give me the "buzz" a sport bike did so chopped it in for a nice shiny 2011 Zx6r.
Having James has reduced the amount of time I can spend at weekends on the bike so I decided I would chop the Zx6r in for a Zx10r and turn it into a track bike (so now I have 2 for the track, none for the road).
I will no doubt buy another bike for the road soon, just deciding what I want it for. I found trackdays make you realise the capability of a modern sportsbike, and riding one on the road just didnt give me the same buzz so I may go enduro/hypermotard next.

Best biking memories to date:
Passing my tests
First Track day
Riding over to the Island for TT week
3 days last year at Aragon in Spain

THAT'S ME

I'm Mike, 42 and the site's resident Yank. I live in the Appalachian mountains of the eastern US, which means lots of great twisty roads nearby. Having said that, I'm a fairly calm rider due to my reluctance to be a hypocrite given that my employ is law enforcement. I divide about half my work time between the road and teaching (predominately firearms, officer survival tactics, etc.)

Married for 15 years, two girls which are the light of my life, an 18 month old Weimaraner and 8 year old cat.

Also enjoy fitness related pursuits such as running, biking, and doing 1/2 marathons and mini triathlons. None of which means I'm any good at those pursuits, but I still do them.

Own a '04 Daytona 600 which doesn't get ridden as much as I would like. Most days off that I have with the family are spent exploring old back roads and green lanes in my '86 Jeep CJ-7.

I enjoyed the old site, and really like the new one and the people here (y)

Hello I'm Graham a very young 50 year old, I live with my wife Sharon who I've been married to for 10 years tomorrow,
I have twin girls aged 15 from a previous marriage but sadly don't see them at the moment, also have a son who is 30 this October who I see a couple of times a year when he wants some money,
We have two cats Flump and Puzzle who rule the roost lol,
Been riding bikes since I was 16 and have been through too many to mention, I currently ride a Honda CB1000r had it for nearly two years as a few on here will tell you it's a long time for me,
Music wise I'm a mad Northern Soul fan and have been since my Wigan Casino days in the late 70's and still go to local soul nights most Saturday night,
I've been into body building since I left school in 1980 as at 5 foot 5 and less than 140 it was needed, ended up doing a couple of body building shows and won a local one then qualified and competed in the Mr Britain show and placed 6th,
Now at 50 years old I still like to lift the weights but only the small light ones lol.
I get knocked down but i get up again.

Hello, I'm c00kiemonster (41, athletic build, wants world peace) and I've lived in France since last year. Before that I lived in Birmingham and the Black Country and am a Black Country lad at heart.

Long story short, I met my wife, Jane who some slappers know well and is also a biker about 10 years ago now and we always planned to save as much as we could and live the life doing up a house in the middle of nowhere and take very early retirement.

We managed to get to that point in June last year, give it all up, sell the house and move to a ruin or two in the middle of the french countryside, not that far from La Rochelle. So that's what we do - build all day making our house better each day. It's almost comfortable now, but far from finished.

Our two girls are now both at university, one at Sheffield, one at Nottingham, we are so proud of them and miss them everyday. We have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks too- Zak and Nell, who some slappers know well and they adore it out here, spending most if their day in the sun or chasing deer :)

From a biking perspective, I ride a KTM RC8 and Jane rides a CBR600RR. Once the building calms down, we hope to tour Europe, both on bikes and in a car and we do pop into the UK from time to time.

Used to have a trackbike and do some trackdays, crashing occasionally, which I miss but needs must at the moment. I'm hoping to see some slappers this year, either on a trip or visits to see us, the more the merrier :)

I'm beermonster and I'm....a beer monster and wannabe rock god!

I am a serial crasher and am currently on the broke side of brassic so I am between 2 wheeled victims...but I will return, oh yes.

My riding style can best be summed up as "rubbish".

I am unmarried, no kids, no pets, but I do have 12 guitars, a Marshall stack and a terrible attitude.

I live just around the corner from Kwacky....which helps explain why he is suffering from negative equity! (devil)
