Thanks for the welcome folks , appreciated :*

For those that don't know me ... or should that be, lucky not to know me :D ... I spent most of my biking time from the mid 90's to the mid 00's chasing my own arse around race tracks with a couple of seasons racing at the end with EMRA with a couple of lads from the sportbiker forum. After that all ended I got back into my first love , off roading .

Still ride on the road but I'll admit it's not very often these days .... less than 750 miles a year has been the norm for the last 3 years ..... and still do off road but thats limited to green laning these days as my body cant cope with an enduro .... my brain still thinks I can, its my body that refuses to recover afterwards (blush) .... Age is a wonderful thing :D

Im good fella, my health is ok so I cant complain and I have a new job on the horizon ....... I find I've got less time for biking these days and if I'm tuthful some of my passion for the hobby has gone but still enjoy the bits I do.

Only 'cos you've been a bit off colour recently Kk. -Few months & you'll be back to being as old as the woman you feel.

Hi Mr Scuff, I've not yet had the pleasure.
But any friend of this lot is,,,,,,,, :^ --actually thinking about it.... :?

Anyway, dubious choice in company excepted, you sound a fine young chap & with the sort of experience you've outlined, an invaluable source of advice .
I wonder, do you still run any of your old 90's era bikes as trackbikes.?

Thanks for the welcome .

Sadly no 90's trackbikes .... I know its the opposite now but in the earlier days most rode to the circuit and used their road bike , me included ..... For me mainly cbr 600 steel frames , a fireblade and then a Ducati 748 sp :)

Most people ride. You do see vans but there's no tyre warmers allowed. I did a road bike track day at donington earlier this year on my street triple

Hi,
I’m almost a total newbie to the world of biking having completed my DAS a week ago last Thursday.
I’m a 46yr old firefighter who went to school from the grand old age of 4 with Kwacky!
I live in Axbridge, Somerset, but I’m originally from Brum.
I bought an ER6F before I did my Mod2 just to add a bit more pressure!
Loving the bike and loving the biking! Still crap myself at the acceleration (blush) !

Hello mate, welcome to the fun side of life and welcome to the site.

It won't take long until the acceleration turns from squeaky bum to stupid childish giggles.
