This was done a number of years ago in the US....two recently executed prisoners...one male, one female, agreed to donate their bodies to science. The body of the male was frozen, then sliced horizontally head-to-toe in 3mm increments to provide "body-mapping data"....the female was 'shaved' down in 1mm increments.
Bit disturbing to watch, to be fair.

Didn't Germany used to use humans to experiment on?

I thought we left that shit behind.

(shocked) Left it behind.????

I suspect it just became privatised, and went underground. I personally have little doubt that it will become far more prevalent over the coming decades as medical developments start to offer the promise of radical repair, or even enhancement.

I think the worst criminals should be experimented on, saves experimenting on poor animals. Besides, companies test on humans and pay them anyway so why not get some test subjects for free. The people who get life without early release.. these kind of people should be tested on.

I find the thought of forcing people to be experimented on repulsive and abhorrent. It's barbaric, regardless of their crimes.

I would argue that it's being done in full view , Thalidomide , Perkles recent episodes including the stem cell therapy he has opted for is controversial and not 100% understood , I'm sure there are many others .

Fwiw I wasn't saying that it wasn't distasteful, just that I don't believe that it stopped. -As Jack has just pointed out, much of it may be hidden in plain sight.? MMR.??
Besides, you could consider that a lots of things in this world are repulsive & abhorrent, like artificially maintaining the life of a terminally ill person in overwhelming pain, despite their's & their familie's wishes.??

Experiment all you want on monsters like Brady and Sutcliffe. I'll rest easy and not give it a second thought, just as they didn't for their helpless, defenceless victims.

They suffer and sciences advances. Win win (devil)

Actually a win win win as less animals will suffer in laboratories. Why should animals be experimented on instead of humans anyway? If we want to advance our medicines for our species benefit then why not experiment on our own species why use other sspecies just because we have power over them.

I have to be honest, I don't give one flying fcuk how many animals are tested on in the name of science.

And I don't think the vast majority of people do either.......no-one thinks about Daisy The Cow when they're in the drive-through at McDonald's, do they??

BULLOCKS - are generally used for meat (neutered males) , whereas female cows like Daisy are generally kept for milking and making more cows

Would you still eat meat if you had to kill the animal yourself ?
I did a few years in butchery as a yoof including a two week stint at an abattoir/slaughterhouse so my answer would be yes .

Well yes...I've been fishing before.

But I'll grant you that hacking a pig up into pork chops doesn't sound like too much fun.

I've shot, butchered and eaten rabbit in the past, but I'd probably eat a lot less meat if I had to do it for every meal. Wood pigeons as well, but that's a lot of effort for not a lot of eating.

I love to butcher my own food.

Had the opportunity in a few occasions and always been worthy of the effort

No problem killing and butchering my meat or catching, dispatching and cleaning my fish, I’ve done both in my time although only on the odd occasion, not frequently enough to be properly proficient at either unfortunately.
