GDPR

Post by duke63 »

Been on a training course today. It's gonna catch some people out if they are not compliant.

As an aside, the Cambridge Analytica debacle is apparently in the news now because had it been after 25 May the financial implications for Facebook and CA could have been huge and potentially catastrophic for both.

For CA I think the implications are pretty bad, it's going to take a while before the effect is seen for Facebook. Let's just say, within the tech community change is a foot.

Follow the money, check out the CA shareholders. Even the MOD is linked to them.

I was thinking more in terms of the fines and potential compensation claims against them. The last company to be found guilty in this way had to pay out £200 per individual. Imagine even Facebook having to pay that out.

Most folks didn,t understand this scam to destroy the UK economy at the time of referendum but they will soon and then they realise that uncle Sam doesn,t give a shit about UK,s economy and they,re more interested in the political gains that Brexit would create for them.
