We've just been told that the house we're going back to on Saturday has had an offer which the seller is accepting.

We didn't put an offer in because we wanted to see it in the day. However we did ask the Estate Agent to let us know if they get any offers in between now and Saturday.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Counter offer. It's not just money that makes it a good deal.

You may be in a better position with a smaller chain or can move on dates they want etc....

We're not in a chain. The person buying our house doesn't have to sell his to move and the person we want to buy from is moving in with family before she looks for a house.

We have made an offer, just above the asking price.

That s an amazing offer. Zero chain and above asking. The other offer will have to be very good to beat you.

Apparently not. She's gone with the first offer, which is lower.

Oh well, the search continues.

Spent the afternoon having a drive about and looking at different areas. We've seen a couple of properties we want to view

I've been to look at the nearby new build. To be honest, I really like it. The rooms are good sized, it's well fitted out and it's got a garage. But there's nothing but horror stories about new builds.

More house hunting tonight. I'm off to see a semi-detached townhouse. 3 storey with a garage and a car port underneath. It's only a 3 bedroom but it's cheap which means not only can I afford more motorbikes I've also got loads of room to store them.

Win win.

I've just had an email from my wife with the title "WE HAVE BOUGHT A HOUSE"

Nothing else.

No clue on which house or how much we've paid for it.

We did see one we liked on Saturday and I put an offer in, which was increased when the agent called back to let me know there was already another offer on the table, which was made a couple of days before ours.

The massive master bedroom with the decent sized en suite helped me make my mind up

Master Bedroom: 26' 2" x 12' 5" (8.00m x 3.80m) max

En Suite: 10' 5" x 5' 8" (3.20m x 1.75m)

3 parking bays and a garage. It's not attached to my house, it's underneath someone else's.

There's a BMW motorbike dealer about 500 yards away (devil)

It's 4 years old. So hopefully the snagging and any other issues have shown their ugly faces and been dealt with.
